Narooma School of Arts
Narooma School of Arts & Soldiers War Memorial Hall Inc (SoA) is a not-for-profit community organisation that owns land and assets held in trust for the Narooma community and managed on its behalf.
As an organisation, its role is site specific. The land can only be used for the arts in its broadest sense and community education; that’s the purpose of the land’s dedication.
ENHANCING ARTS PRECINCT:
Already over 45,000 people p.a. visit Narooma Arts precinct.
We are proposing enhancements to the existing School of Arts Hall (the Kinema) which will be followed by the construction of a new Arts Centre.

A Short History of the Hall
The School of Arts Memorial Hall was the town’s multi-purpose venue for dances and balls, flower shows, public meetings, and Anzac Day ceremonies as well as a cinema. It also had a library and reading room.
This hall was built in 1926, the second School of Arts Hall. Part of the first hall, built in 1895, still stands as part of Narooma Motors.
More Narooma School of Arts history in the Strategic Plan.
The Hall was the home of Montague Choristers for many years.
