Narooma Arts & Community Centre - funding secured

We are excited to publicly announce that the Narooma Arts and Community Centre will become a reality after funding was successfully secured through the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund.

After 10 years of planning, consulting and grant writing The Narooma School of Arts is celebrating this injection of funds into our local community. The new centre will be a creative community hub which will extend to our whole region, bringing cultural opportunities across a range of activities.

We are now in a process of working with the funding bodies to establish the next steps of the development, detailed planning, design and timing for construction of the building.

Our small gallery will have to go to make way for the new building between the Kinema and the service station in 2022. The Committee’s aim is to continue offering space for cultural activities, and together with the Gallery & Studio Sub Committee we are planning to source alternative facilities for our exhibitions during the build phase.

There is much to do and we cannot do it without our members and volunteers. If you have been thinking about joining the Narooma School of Arts now is a great time to become involved and help bring this fantastic idea into reality.

We will continue to post information on our website, Facebook and Instagram to keep the community involved and informed.
